Koh Yao Beach Bungalows are located
on the quite beach of Lohgak, with
beautiful views on the island of
Phuket and Koh Khai. It looks like
Phuket 25 years ago, so without over
construction, go go bars and
thousands of people on the beach.
The resort has a private beach of 80
meters and only 6 bungalows, so you
will not find the crowds over here !
Besides, on the whole beach, there
are only 2 bungalow operators.
The resort can book all kinds of
trips and tours for you. Popular are
snorkeling in Koh Khai, day and
night fishing, mountain bike, scuba
diving.
There is a restaurant which serves
breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Specialties are Royal Thai Cuisine
and of course, fresh seafood. During
dinner, you can watch a romantic
sunset.
However, if you like to 'do it
yourself', the resort is happy to
provide you with everything you need
for a private barbeque on the beach.
This is a comfortable
six bungalow operation set in a
fantastic spot right on the
beautiful white sand beach to the
south of Yao Yai Island. It is
conveniently near the ferry port to
Phuket Island and all bungalows are
on a walkway meaning that, at high
tide, the sea actually laps under
your bedroom. Yao Yai is as yet
unspoiled therefore very quiet and
Western faces still a great novelty.
The view here is out to Phuket and
the sunrise in the West.
The bungalows, four double
and two twin, all have toilets,
showers, fans and mosquito nets and
there is a lovely little restaurant
selling a variety of foods. Owners
Ms A and Mr Mooneeb speak very good
English and know all about local
Backpackers Hostel so that your ongoing trips
can be arranged from here too.
Ms A can organize trips to other
wonderful beaches in the centre of
the island and also boat, bicycle
and trekking trips around the
region. Mr Mooneeb can take care of
all your fishing and diving needs.

How to
get there
Kohyao Bay
Pavillions at Yao Noi is located on the island of Yao Noi, situated
midway between Phuket and Krabi, among the awe-inspiring limestone
pinnacles of Phang Nga. Backpackers Hosteling time from the airport from Phuket
is around forty five minutes to one hour by motor boat or Ferry.
