Adopting a hatha style, we cover the fundamentals of
yoga, foundation and classic postures, asana
combinations, correct alignment and pranayama
techniques.

Some of the classes will incorporate a vinyasa flow
style of yoga. This is a combination of asanas (poses)
where synchronization of breath, balance and focused
awareness produce a graceful rhythmic flowing yoga.
Emphasising the body-mind connection, the physical
asanas maintain a healthy body through improved
flexibility, stamina and strength, while pranayama, the
yogic art of breathing balances the emotions and calms
the mind.

The yoga sala is open throughout the day for personal
practice and meditation.
Of course, if 3 hours of daily yoga is too much, choose
the classes that suit your needs.
An option for early risers is our “greet the dawn” beach
meditation. Well worth it even if just to witness the
spectacular sunrises. bring your camera!!

Our base is Ulmers Nature Lodge, a delightful resort
right on the beach.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
and Tha Khao village, just 5 minutes walk from the
Lodge, has a number of good restaurants and cafes There
are also some great food choices around the island, both
Thai and western. Fish and seafood, caught daily and
cooked Thai style is very popular. Meat and vegetarian
dishes are also available and make.
sure you sample the delicious deserts. Wrapped in banana
leaves, you often don’t know what you’re getting until
you’ve paid, then it’s “surprise desert time”.
