Despite a rather steep climb to bed this has got to be one of the most amazing bungalow operations on this island. Each ‘room’ clings to a mountainside and has unexplainable views out over Phang Nga Bay and Krabi. Picture yourself sitting on your balcony, either in your hammock or in one of the garden chairs, at 6pm, cold beer in hand, warm evening breezes and not a sound as you watch the light the setting sun casts over the limestone carst formations in front of you. Total tranquility.

Takao Bay View is run by a warm and welcoming man called Prapan and you can turn to him for any questions on local wildlife, fishing, island tours and menu suggestions. The small resort offers two double bungalows and five single. All have mosquito net, fan, shower and toilet. Prices vary according to season, please email for further information and questions.
